Who's been and what can you tell us about it?  The kids want to go this year as our family vacation so I would like information.  Thanks

You'll want to find other things to do during the day & whatnot, so I would advise staying in Edmond because it's in between Guthrie (Lazy E) & OKC, both of which have things to do. If you want good food recommendations, you MUST look into going to Eichens in Okarche. Best fried chicken you will ever eat, but it's not fast food so plan for a sit-down lunch/dinner. Stockyard City in OKC & the Western Heritage museum are both good places to go to spend a few hours. Guthrie has the Bluebell Saloon, which is nice to see but IDK if they'll let kids in because it is a bar. They have gunfight reenactments there as well.

Thanks RLB, actually the kids are grown (but forever called kids).

It has been mentioned to take the RV; long ways from Oregon.

Is there that much spare time with 3 days and 5 events?

If you bring the RV you will probably have to stay off site... there is not alot of camping at that facility... very limited and will probably be took up by the contestants.

Well if you're only staying the three days, then you won't have a LOT of spare time.

As for the RV, I want to say there's an RV park not far from the arena, but I'm not sure. There is some parking at the arena but your best bet is to call the Lazy E & ask what your options are.

I've been several times and it's a fun event.....if you go to all of the performances, you'll pretty much just have a break between the day and evening performance.....you have time to go to the stockyards in OKC...take I-35 south to I-40 and go west to Agnew and then go south....eat at Cattleman's there (voted best in OKC), visit Langstons, National Saddlery, and there are boot makers, hat makers, saddle makers, etc....
