Beautiful pads, and I think I need one because they are so pretty.  BUT I really do like my 5 Star.  I've heard good and bad about the Wades.  Tell me your experience/thoughts, good and or bad please.

I have had impact gel, 5 star, and wade.  I've liked my Wade the best!

Over the years I've used impact gel, Tod Sloan, CE Sensorflex, CE ESP, Professional's Choice, a Sharon Camarillo Reinsman pad and a Marlene McRae pad and the Wade pad has been my favorite so far. I say give it a try and if you don't like it they hold their value really well. Good luck!

I have a few 5 Stars and they are my favorite. I had a couple of Wade pads and they were GORGEOUS, but I don't like how they fit my horse, they were stiff and started rubbing some spots raw. And I use the same saddle with a 5Star pad and had no issues.

I have a 5 star and a Wade and I love them both. The 5 star has fit under anything and at the moment the Wade only fits under my treeless. I've not had any problems with it rubbing my horse raw so fingers crossed that I don't!

The wades just take awhile to break in and then they aren't so stiff.

My thing with the wade pads is that they are so darn stiff, I should not have to break in a pad, now the 5 Stars, awesome pads, they are soft and they do a whole lot of supporting.

That's the problem I'm having with buying one!

You custom a 5 Star, with custom wear leathers and have your name/brand but on them.

Here is one of my custom 5 Stars, I had the wear leathers done in brindle cowhide.

I do have my 5 star custom somewhat.  Not near as fancy as a Wade but all and all I don't have a single complaint about my 5 stars have 4 of them

I am going to be the odd one out here, I like the Wade Pads better than 5 stars. I have a 3/4" 3000 series that is my go to pad. I use my 30x28 mostly my 30x32 seems a little to long but my horses aren't very big. I have the closed cell bottom, I use a 5 star liner under it most of the time, pad stays clean and nice.

I had a Wade that I used for awhile, thinking that eventually it would "break in".  It was a GORGEOUS pad, but they are sooo stiff.  While it didnt rub my horses back raw (it was the proper length)  he did have a major sore spot on his back where the pad hit, and it took a lot of chiro work to get it fixed.  I swapped to a saddleright (loved my 5stars too but this worked better under my current saddle) and I wouldnt trade it for the world.  I think a lot of people overlook problems with their wades because they're pretty.  Id rather have my horse comfortable
