From Austin to the coast have been under dought for the past 5 years ... so BYOH ..... BRING YOUR OWN HAY .. or graze them on all of the beautiful green golf courses they keep pumping water on ... lol

Boy you sure are thinking of two very different places thats far apart from one another. I live in south Texas and dont have a problem with finding hay, I have a few places down the road from me that we buy from, now when we having droughts thats a different story on finding hay. I would think being in La you would never have a problem finding hay.

Remember, it's horribly hot and humid here in the summer's too. My brother makes a lot of hay and he has been selling to TX a lot the past few years. I think the situation with hay is a little better, but not great there.
