| I've found a cm trailer I like. For those that have them, how do they hold up? Are they sturdy? Should I buy or pass. |

Location: Adopt a homeless pet - www.petfinder.com! | We bought a new one last spring. It's a 3h bumper pull, drop-down windows on the head side, slats on the rear. I like everything about it except where the tie rings are placed inside, hard to get a hay bag in the right spot and kind of awkward. Other than that we've been very happy. |

| I have a 2002 CM Norstar. It's a 4 horse with a 4 foot shortwall. It was actually built by Cimarron before Cimarron and CM split. I like it so far, I haven't owned it for very long but I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of trailers before I bought it. I was looking for a late 90's early 2000's 4 star, Elite or Hart because I wanted something with heavy hinges and welds and that was going to last. I didn't want to put up with stupid crap like cheap door handles not latching unless you slam the door or losing hinges because the welds broke. I don't have any complaints about mine, nothing needs fixed you wouldn't expect from a 12 year old trailer. |

I bought a 2006 Cimarron last summer. Same story as you, I was shopping Elite, Platinum, 4 Star, Hart, but the Cimarron seems just as well made. Everything is very heavy and solid feeling. I really like it. |

| How serendepetis, I bought one today. A little 3 horse bumper pull with a small tack room. My LQ trailer was just too big for a one day run, and my cow trailer just wasn't handy enough. It's a 2000 model. It looks like it's well made. |

Location: Philly | Have owned elite and platinum along with a CM norstar. Actually preferred the norstar over the others b/c is seemed a little lighter but the build quality is right up there with the "best". Although the fiberglass roof on the CM is a positive (same type of roof that is on a hart) there were a couple of years when CM had a lot of leaking problems and even replaced a lot of trailer roofs due to the quality of product that was used. The company they were buying the roof material from went bankrupt or something. Think it was the 2004-2005ish model years, a quick call to Cimarron with a VIN could help you there. Either way, make sure to check the roof just as you would on any trailer. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. |

Ditto...I had a steel gooseneck 3 horse CM that pulled like a lead pig and ate tires at an alarming rate. |

I agree- STANDARD insulated roof. Never thought that would make a difference but it does in both winter and summer. |
