Hello, this might be a shot in the dark but any info would be appreciated. I previously saw a post (although I cannot find it now) of a young women wanting to relocate from Canada to the USA to ride and work. Well got me thinking and I would like to try and do the same thing. I am a coming 25 year old woman located in Canada and would like to find a job in the USA working for a barrel trainer. I have rode under some of Canada's top reining and cutting trainers including Jim Anderson and Dustin Gonnet then switched disciplines to barrel racing about 4 years ago. I was also involved in light horse 4-H for 6 years and have been starting and training my own horses since I was 12. I am currently a registered animal health technician and working full time at a vet clinic but would like a change in my life. I can provide veterinary and trainer references. I am not sure how it is done in the USA but I would like a job that allowed me to work and ride horses under a barrel trainer or at a barrel /quarter horse racing breeding facility. Willing to do other required duties, cleaning, feeding, saddling etc. I would need accommodations and in a perfect world would love to bring my coming 4 year old that I would like to futurity to advance her training and my well trained house/outside dog. If any body knows of any positions available or a great website to look would be appreciated. I am in no rush and would like the perfect fit. Thanks in advance.
