I have a mare turning 5 in March that I have never asked to run run. I have entered and "ran" her but never ask for her life and never truly had a spotless or even close to spotless run.
She started out in the 4 for an entry or two, then the 3 for about 5 entries and have been in the 2 ever since. Like all over the 2 on less than perfect runs at about 3/4 speed.
Do you think she can be a 1D or do you think top of 2 will be where she ends up?

Is she firewater flit , DTF or FG? If not then she is already overachieved and should be going back the other way at any time.

I think there are way more than those three breeds that are 1D horses.
Its 100% a joke, just playing off the other thread.

If you are a good rider or at least honest with yourself and willing to improve and the horse has a good foundation to fall back on it sounds like you two as a pair have some potential.

If it were me, I would want consistency first....sounds like you have had normal "seasoning" bobbles.
Until you get one consistent I feel like you don't really know where they will finish out to be, because at the end of the day it is all potential until they have actually proven themselves.
I have a boat load of potential in my barn, but at this point...it is just potential!

Lol. The person about the blood lines scared me.
Anywho, never ask her to run as to not take her or I where we are not comfortable.
We are having what im hearing is typical seasoning stuff. I'm thinking by June/ July she will be consistent. I just now got to where I can ask her for her life from the back 40 and continue that all the way through the pattern an feel comfortable. I have only done that once an it was gorgeous but not timed unfortunately. When I tried to time it using my video it looked like a 1D time. Normal in that pen to win it is about a 14.7 and we were right at 15 sec.
poor girl gives me what I ask for every time. I just need to learn to trust her and ask more.
