| I am trying to help a close friend decide how he is going to propose to his bride elect! They both rope. I was thinking maybe he could tie the ring in her horses mane (kind of fearful it could fall out though!) or put the ring box in the space between the seat and gullet of the saddle. So that when she mounts her horse she will see the box. I would love to hear any other ideas. He wants to make it special :)
Thanks in advance :) :) :)

Location: Texas | When my husband proposed, we went on a trail ride. It just so happened that I rode through some low-lying wire that was hidden in the grass. So when we came to the spot, he had me get off while he looked at my horse. He made up some excuse about needing the hoof pick from the other saddle. He had tried to secure the rings on the hoof pick. But when I opened the flap, they fell off. Luckily we found them, but still... |

| Maybe if he looped the ring all the way onto the rope so it was on her loop and when she takes her rope out of the bag at practice and swings her rope there it would be...? |

Maybe a halter on the horse with "Will you Marry Me?" |

| My husband wrote it in the sand of the round pen with my horse tied up at the other side of the round pen (inside) and told me to close my eyes bc he built me something and when I got there he told me to open and he kneeled in front of the round pen. It was great. Ill try to find the pic |

Location: Iowa | A young man that I know of, spaced out some round bales by the edge of a field and wrote " Will you marry me ? " on the ends of the bales. The only problem he had was to convince his girl friend to go for a ride on a rather cold and windy day. She loved it though. |

Location: relocated to Texas | Do they rope together? Because they could be competing at a roping and have the announcer give the time and then say something like "Wait a minute, we have a correction to that last time, (her name) Will you Marry Me.?" Meanwhile he could get down on one knee in the arena and take the ring out of his pocket.
Don't suggest tying the ring to anything like the horse's mane or the rope. Too much can go wrong there. A ring can be hard to find if it falls in the dirt. |

| Have him put the ring box on the top of the feed (grain or whatever) and ask her to grab a scoop … she opens the bin and theres the box (hopefully a bright color like … red or Tiffany blue).
My husband proposed with a ring of 5 carrots … yes, I spelled that correctly carrots … he tied 5 organic carrots with some wire. The story behind it was I'd always tease him when he would do something … "the ring better be xx carats for that one") … I thought he was joking with me and I was laughing so hard, I didn't know he was serious until he got down on one knee with an actual ring (not of 5 carats).
Oh and keep us updated!

My cousins husband took her on a trail ride and then had the people take the horses away freaking her out. They aren't horsey people. It was cute she said because he was so allergic to them he was sneezing constantly trying too ask her.
What if they were able to write will u marry me in the dirt lot up kinda like the Calgary stampede does their cs at the beginning ? Then he could give her the ring and not have to worry about losing it |
