I have two Mini Aussies that are currently eating Black Gold dog food. They have eat this food since they started eating dog food. I've heard Aussies tend to have sensitive stomachs and I don't want to change if it will cause an issue, but I would like to try something different for them. Black Gold is so hard to find in my area and it's super expensive. I need some ideas, please.

Thanks SG. Do you think it would be ok to change them suddenly or should I mix it?

The Nutro or Diamond Lamb and Rice are pretty good "middle of the price range" foods for sensitive dogs.

Thank you. Any suggestions on how to change them over?

Definately mix the two foods for a while, a sudden change could upset their stomachs.

For the first 3 days, feed them 3/4 of their old food and 1/4 new food.

Then the next 3 days after that do 1/2 and 1/2.

And the following 3 days do 3/4 new and 1/4 old

Then after that they should be good to go all to the new food!

My corgi has a sensitive stomach so I feed Diamond Naturals lamb and rice to all my dogs. They love it, no tummy problems, and it's not expensive.

I have an Aussie, and he appears to have a somewhat sensitive stomach. I feed him and our boxer 4Health from tractor supply. It has a good rating on dogfoodavisor.com, and its a good price. He has been eating it with no stomach problems, I have been feeding it for about 4 months now with no complaints. He's always in a happy, playful, energetic mood like he should be! He would look sluggish and just want to lay around on other foods and sometimes vomiting would occur. You do need to mix their old food with the new and introduce it to them gradually!

Thank you all for the advice. I ended up going with Diamond. Our walmart doesn't sell NaturalLife, which was what I wanted, but we'll see how the Diamond works out. Thanks again everyone!!!
