RE: Best rope halters?
CLINTON ANDERSON HALTERS ...
Best materials, best design that keeps the side straps out of their eyes, will not stretch and end up in their mouth, firmness is perfect and old Clinton used his and others experience to make this high quality last a lifetime halter at the risk of his own reputation by putting his name on it .... I paid around $25 each on their black Friday specials they had ... money well spent ... the 15 ft lead is also the best thing since sliced bread ...

I purchase Silver Tip halters, they have a warranty, although I have never had one break.

I ONLY use Clinton Anderson halters/leads. They are a bit pricey BUT if you look at his website he does offer nice discounts often! I have had one halter/lead since 2008 and still use it every day so you definitely get your money worth! It's a great investment and it has taught my pushy gelding LOADS of respect!! I will never use a different kind of halter! I am 100% sold on these!

Dalton's halters. You can look him up on Facebook. I've been very pleased with mine!

I'm another vote for halfcircleranch.com. I've got some friends at the barn who have parelli halters and it honestly doesn't look any different to me in rope quality. And you can get the extra knots added. I love mine and will always get mine there.

dashnlotti - 2014-01-24 11:28 PM Honestly the best rope halter I've bought was a cheap Mustang brand. I know it was under $20. It has knots on the nose similar to a Clinton. T-Bo has tested it a few times and quickly learned he can't break it like a regular nylon halter and lead. With a normal halter, he would pull back until it broke. With this one IF he pulls back
(nowadays it's because something legitimately spooked him
) he will give up quickly and think about it before deciding it's easier to stand quietly. LOVE IT!
This! Clintons leads are too long.
