Can I get your opinions on them? I have done some looking into them and haven't heard many good things. Particularly ones with a mid-ranged price tag, the one I'm looking into retails for $1200 CDN new. Someone offered to trade me one and I haven't had experience with them.
Thanks!

I have a colt up for sale or trade for a 15 inch barrel saddle. The more I look into it the more I don't think its worth it though. The saddle looks in good shape and barely used by the pictures I have seen but I don't want something that's junk
ETA: I put the colt up for sale for about what the saddle was new and it was already a reduced price. I would be taking a huge cut in price but he would stay fairly local (was why I was considering it).

If you have a nice colt and willing to trade for a barrel saddle, I would want a better quality saddle. Dont trade for a Alamo

Junk..

They are made not far from me and the leather is like cardboard on them.

I use to ride it one for a short time. After almost going over my horses ears several times I decided it my saddle. Mine pulled my feet behind me and pushed me forward. I also think the seat runs a little smaller.
I have always rode in a billy cook and got a really good deal on the alamo. Sold alamo and got new billy cook..Never again stick to what you like.

Edited to add.. I also found none of the tack stores would take it in on a trade or buy it. They told me alamo are hard to sell and poor quality.
