Last week I was finally blessed to start a new job.

For a couple reasons I decided to wear a nicotine patch during work hours at the new job.  I still am.  Maybe, just maybe, if I could keep a cig break from becoming the norm here at the new job, MAYBE I could consider quitting in the near future??

I have -0- issues not smoking during the day with the patch.  I wear 1/2 of a 21mg patch and it holds me just fine.  I am still having my after feed morning cig and a few after dinner.

Is there hope??

YES!  There is hope! Sounds like you are doing really good.  If I could quit, anybody can quit!  I was a pack a day smoker...first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night.  I quit with the Nicorette gum as they didn't have a patch at the time.  The gum and daily prayer allowed me give up my addicition.  I'd pray each day, throughout the day to let me make it without a cigarette.  It got easier and easier.  I've been quit for several years now and just the thought of a cigarette makes me SICK.  I don't know how I ever enjoyed those nasty things!  Prayers to you for success as you embark on a healthier and much nicer smelling future...LOL!

Keep it up girl!! The last time I quit was in August when I found out I wsa pregnant... I convinced myself my kid would be born with fins or something crazy if I continued smoking, and basically brainwashed myself into quitting- I was done with it within the week. I will say that I was also slightly motivated by all the money I save by not smoking, but they're not $13/pack in the states, so that is a lot less motivating for you.  I smoked over a pack a day and LOVED smoking, so trust me, if I can do it, anyone can... Keep it up and you'll be smoke free in no time!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! I've never smoked in my life but I have a grandmother that did for about 50 years. She is super heathly...her mother lived to be 97 years old and lived alone and took complete care of herself until her last day. But because of the cigarettes she can't breath and is not able to do the things she enjoys. It is so sad watching her weez all the time. To me it is just not worth it....plus my mother in law smokes and she wreaks!!!! It makes you smell horrible...like a rotting smell...when I was pregnant last year I had to ride with her in a 7 hour car ride... I almost chose to ride in the back of the pickup. Not trying to be mean but maybe the idea that without that nasty little habit you can do so much more in you life at a more successful level for a longer time could give you a little inspiration. I also believe in praying! Pray pray pray!!

You can do it........another incentive is to take the money usually spent buying the cigs and put it in a jar........
