I want to know everyones opinions on the patches? Do they really work?

Im a pretty big skeptic now days to most stuff, i used to give into and buy everything untill i relized it didnt work. but im curious about these. how do they work? what are they made of?

I love my soft rides, good feed and exercise, a good vet and a good chiro and a proper fitting saddle. Im thinking that these could help out one of my horses but im not quite sold on them yet.

Id love to hear what you think!!

My paint horse ran at the APHA World Show. He has been treated for EPM but with the stress of heavy workouts he relapsed. My trainer did everything that she could to help his body soreness. He would not have been able to compete at the World Show without being patched. My trainer is a distributor and so am I. He was Reserve World Champion in poles. Hope that helps.

One of our horses is back running and winning rodeos and in the 1D with the help of patches.   It seems to take away the last small pain that he has in his front feet.   I think it is good to use them in a case like this or if you need/want to get through a weekend before you go to the vet, say if your horses is due for injections or such.    They work.

i wne t to a marth josey clinic back about 2 years ago on an older horse. my horse was about 21 years old, however he had not been well cared for by his previos owner. Took him down and his first run was like a 16.0. we did the clinic ALLL day saturday, on sunday morning i got up and saddled and after less than 5 min i got off and unsaddled. he was so soar i couldnt even lope a circle on him. i told ty & gary i wasnt riding him, they said they had wanted to do a demo with the life wave patches and asked if they could patch my gelding. Now i had seen the patched before and my exact thought were 'those are stickers, there is NO way that can work." i told them to go for it, if they wanted to put those expensive sticker on him go ahead. they patched him in mutiple places and tole me to saddle him back up while they did the group warm up. I did and when i got back on he did feel better, but i was acrediting that to him loosing up from getting out of his stall. I did the rest of the sunday part of the clinic. when it was time to make my final run the difernce was UNBELIVABLE!! He was over half a second faster, not to mention how much more fluid he moved, ran & turned! he felt like a complety different horse, winning the clinic by a ful second. I woud have never beleived it had i not ran him and felt the difference!!

Against my better judgement (I am also very much a skeptic) I let somebody patch my 1D horse once and she went bananas! Took two weeks to get back to normal. Had a couple people have the same problem, its like anything some say it works some say it don't. Personally I will stick to good chiro and massage.

I have been a distributor for about a year now. They do work, but not the same on every horse/person. They do NOT work for bone and bone pain, so they don't work on my arthritic knee, boy I wish they did! As for the comment on the horse that went nuts, some horses and people have switched positive/negative spots and yes, it will in fact do the opposite if you have that horse. And I can understand your reluctance once that has happened.

I'm trying to attach a picture of the general meridian areas that address common areas of soreness. If anyone has any questions, or would like to try a set, I'll be glad to help you.

Keep in mind they do not cure anything, but they darn sure make your horse, and you, more comfortable to perform at your best.

Could not get the picture to load, but this link takes you to a brochure that shows you several key areas.

the horse im thinking about trying them on lost his eye about 2 years ago. He hasnt done it lately but at one time I would make a run on him and he would have his usual perfect first barrel, then his next run he would sit to make the turn and as soon as i ask for his nose he would freeze and rear.
Took him to chiros and massage and nothing, took him to ryan lovendahl's clinic and he figured his neck was sore. Took him to multiple vets and nothing showed in the flex tests or x rays. I put him on bute for a week to see if anything would stop or show up then took him off and worked him the same and nothing. got his teeth done and they werent that bad to begin with

My gut tells me he had a pinched nerve or deep muscle knot or somthing. He hasnt done anything in a while. and he only does it to the right. I dont know if he will do it again because i never got any answers.

I was thinking about trying them on me first, I have a dull nerve in my back and my knee has arthritis and joint pain.
