I just finished reading all three of his books and WOW, I wish I had read them a LONG time ago, if you haven't read them they are very very GOOD reads! I love how this guy has a no nonsense type attitude not to mention his books Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy and Killing Jesus are amazing. I would have loved to watch the O'Reily factor.... I hope there are more O'Reily's out there as he is one of the only people who seem to stand up for what is right and call the rich and famous out on their corruption!

I haven't read Killing Jesus yet, but loved the other two. I watch him every night...I don't always agree but more often than not I do.

what is Killing Jesus about, would it be good for a person who has just found their faith?

I watch him almost every night. I agree with him most of the time but I really respect someone who stands up for right even if it's not popular and tries to really get to the bottom of issues rather than let people go on and on when they're really saying nothing. It's a big difference from most news shows...

The book is not about religion. It's a history book

I'm a huge fan of Bill O'Reilly and watch him every night.  His talent at coming back at his guests with the perfect often humorous answers totally amazes me as does Meghan Kelly.  FOX News is fabulous.

I think so! When I saw the title I was a little leery but he tells the story of Jesus in a historical context and does NOT in any way get into the religious aspect of it. If anything, it made me appreciate what Jesus did for me even more because he tells in great detail the pain he went through and I feel like I understand the story MUCH better. I highly recommend it! He also has MANY footnotes of direct verses from the bible to support what he says.

I agree! I love how he doesn't let them avoid the question, many people get angry at him for being confrontational but people deserve answers, I can't stand news shows that let people get away with that. I LOVE that he stands up for what is right even if he offends people. his books are AMAZING, I have learned so much and feel like a better person for reading them.

I like O'Reily.  You can tell that he sometimes painstakingly tries to come across as neutral, but he's almost always conservative in his views.  He and Dennis Miller are a hoot when they get rolling.  The man is also a philanthropist and does a lot for charitable causes.  I look forward to his interview with Obama before the Super Bowl.  I hope he really engages him and asks hard hitting questions...no softballs.  We shall see.  I bet Obama is going to put a "moderate" spin on things.  He's prepared...otherwise he wouldn't consent to the interview.  Watch and see.

When anyone calls him a Republican or Conservative, he quickly answers "I'm an Independent."  I agree with you.  His leanings are largely Conservative.

Even if he tends to lean conservative, he doesn't let ANYONE get away with corruption or dishonesty, I don't think he picks favorites... he will call ANYONE out whether they get conservative or democratic.....

my friend is more able to believe things that are proven than just being told, and if this book leans more to the historical part I think it might be a good book to read.

thanks for the input.

I am a conservative...and maybe by some, very, very conservative. However, I really love O'Reily. But I also go along with about 70% of what Glenn Beck says too. Thus, the 'extreme right'.

I guess I don't fully understand what people mean when they say "extreme right".

When they say that I can only assume it means people who actually have and stick to thier morals!
