Location: Nevada	I heard about this injection you can give your horse that is supposed to stop him from bleeding. You give him 15cc one day and three days later another 15ccs. That's it.. No more bleeding. It's called XC or something like that?

Experienced Mouse Trapper Posts: 3106 Location: North Dakota	the normal bleeder treatment is Lasix, which depending on who's saying it can definitely sound different than how it's spelled.

Shelter Dog Lover Posts: 10277	If it is Lasix you are referring too do not give 15cc's! Normal dose is 3-5 cc's before a run. Contact your vet.

You get what you give Posts: 13030 Location: Texas	15 sounds really high for me. I'm sure some horses get it but I wouldn't be comfortable giving that much. To the OP- I am not sure about this drug? I don't see how two shots would stop bleeding.
