So I've been a little stressed out tonight trying to figure out what to do for yet another injured horse. So this might just be me ranting a little after a bad day so bare with me. So it started last summer after spending two years starting this nine year old problem horse, I had finally gotten her ready to start competing, when I started boarding her at an arena, she wasn't even there a week when I went to ride her and found her with her leg all tore up. Nobody had any idea what she could've done, but my vet and I both agreed that it was very possible that somebody had actually tried to steal her. She started having a lot more attitude problems and is now still terrified of the trailer and she wasn't before. So I finally got her healed up, started working with her again and a month later she cuts open her leg again... meanwhile, my brother had just given me a horse that I had been training for him for a couple months and I had started falling absolutely in love with her. So I was extremely excited to start competing with her, things were going great, until yesterday when she broke off a part of her hoof. Now im trying to do whatever I can to keep her from being completely lame on it and who knows how long she's gonna be out.. so right now I think what I need is a lot of prayers and some encouragement to be able to hold on and hope that things might start getting better..

Oh thats to bad,, it will get better. But my question is why do you and your Vet think someone was trying to steal your horse going by a hurt leg?

Well we obviously don't know this for sure, but what I went off of was for one thing the pen that she was in had nothing that she could cut herself on, and the owners of the arena said that nobody had taken her out, plus her new fear of trailers and when im working with her every once in while she'll have random freak outs for no apparent reason, which makes me wonder if she had a traumatizing experience of some sort.
