7 the Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.
The psalmist came to worship one day needing a little help. A lot was going on in his life and he was desperate. He felt isolated and alone, and he needed to know that God was there listening to him. He saw himself surrounded by all sorts of difficult folks. He speaks about that feeling of being alone and unheard. then he talks about those folks he's stuck with and brings that concern to the Lord. Then, a turning point. He gets his help, he feels different, and something happens for him.
He brought his whole self to worship, not just a part. Maybe you need a little help today? God is waiting on you to let Him be your strength, to be your shield, to be your refuge. He will be your strong tower, if you allow Him to be!
On this day, February 14, 2014 ,simply ask God to be your strength, your shield, your strong tower. He is faithful to hear you and answer your pray, God ahead, call on God. He's waiting.
Father, I come to You for Your Hand of Grace, to guide, shield, give me strength to do all things that will bring Glory and Honor to You. AMEN
