| Here is his little barn sitting out in the middle of this field ... this is where he was kept when it was the Roy Browning Ranch .. just one little side road led to the barn back then . He was also named for old man Vessels when he owned Los Alamitos Race Track ... everyone called the owner .. The Old Man ... lol
It is now VICTORY FARMS and you can see the big indoor, mare motel and stud barns etc etc Danny Ray has added over the years ...

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | Cool!!! - I was there in '88 (was still kind of young to grasp what I was seeing) and saw The Ole Man, Easy Volley, Smashed Bug, Heavenly....Easily Smashed....Will Win (TB). If I remember correctly, they were all in that barn together (or maybe Heavenly wasn't in the stud barn). Smashed Bug was who we bred to that year.

I remember Smashed Bug. My best horsey friend and I were going to buy him and start our own barrel horse breeding farm with myself as the attendant vet. We were in the 8th grade... |

Really? I wish y'all would have --- I heard he went to a breeder in Mexico?
He was beautiful and very well behaved. We almost ran the colt we got of his on the track and joked about calling him Beetlejuice - that movie came out around that time. We should have ran him - he was a POWER HOUSE. |

My guy is a grandson of Heavenly and great grandson of The Ole man, love him! Lot of people dont talk to much about Heavenly horses and she was above the million$ making marker! Nice to hear someone seen Heavenly in person! |

See, I WAS too young to grasp what I was seeing....I knew he was a legend, but I just looked at his pedigree, because I didn't know/remember it - wow!
He was pretty old in that picture, I think, wasn't he? |
