I have worn a knee brace every night for the past three weeks. I was in a car wreck 15 years ago, and had surgery at that time, but the past few years the post traumatic arthritis was getting worse and worse. To determine the size brace to order, I measured my knee five inches above my knee cap... At the time it measured 20.5 inches. Today it measures 19 inches. Quite honestly, I didn't even realize it was chronically swollen. It has made a major difference in how that knee feels when I ride. For the past two weeks I've taken no NSAIDs. Sooooo after all that, I have to say I know first hand what a difference these products make. I have no bows and royal hock boots for the horses so far... I can see these products being an essential part of keeping my horses and myself healthy and sound.
