Location: WI | For anyone who watches the show, ha. I'm getting to the point where I want to upgrade my trailer. It was my first trailer, '97 4 Star w/homemade LQ (just A/C and electricity, no water). I'm on the fence on whether I should use a conversion company to just gut the whole thing and put in a 'Professional' LQ, or sell and buy a new one. There isn't much I would want changed that couldn't be changed, actually the only thing would be move from 7'6" to 8' wide with mangers.
Who has done a conversion and what do they run? Experiences?? |

Location: Indiana | I would say it would depend on how long you were keeping your trailer. If you take it to have it re-done and then need to sell it, you won't get your monies worth out of it. It will still sell at around the price that a '97 4Star would sell for, you may get a little more for the newer interior but I don't think you would get all of your investment out of it. If you are going to keep it for a long time, then it might be worth it. How big is the LQ?

Location: WI | It's a 4 or 5' shortwall. The DIY is just really poorly done - it still has the factory carpet w/no insulation on the floors. It is insulated on the walls and ceiling. Only 1 of the outlets work, it has really ugly wallpaper and countertop and I hate the layout of the closets. I'd want something more professional looking with soft touch walls, more lights, outlets that work, battery pack so I don't have to be plugged in for anything to work, and a fridge. Not sure I want to delve into water, maybe just 1 sink but no toilet.

Location: Indiana | I'd say ask for a quote from an LQ company to see what it would run. Are there any around you? There are two that I work with in northern IN but don't know if you'd want to travelt that far. I could PM you their contact info. There are others in the Elkhart area too.
