I got the Mirena after having a child.  I loved it at first but then started having complications after about 6 months..  Wound up having it removed and got the Nuva Ring.  It has been great for me so far and I'm almost at being on it for 1 year.  Prior to Mirena, I was on Ortho Tri Cycline for 10+ years with no complications.   

Same thing for me. I'd go with the Nuva Ring

I had the nuvaring for a while, hated it. Between awkward ring toss episodes, feeling like I was constantly checking for it, and then having breakthrough bleeding like all the others it just wasn't working.


Talked with my dr yesterday and since when I'm not on hormonal bc I'm normal in terms of mood, being regular etc, it's likely that I'll look to go with a paragard
