I know bob Marshall is the top of the line treeless, I also know a used bob Marshall is about 900$
I'm looking for a treeless saddle, but no way I can pay that for one. I've looked at some other types, hilason, yesrd, and double t treeless, has anyone used or know what is the better of the "off brand" treeless?
I don't like double T saddles, because the way the tree is made, but is that gonna be a problem with a treeless?

Save your pain and your pennies by buying a Bob Marshall.  No use buying a $400 saddle that falls apart and you have to buy another one. There are cheaper Bob Marshalls out there, but you have to hunt!

there is no 'tree' in treeless......
better look for a used one if you don't want to pay new prices..
I bought a new JBN-Circle Y $1,700- the first year they came out... 2 years ago I think.  Love it- like the feel and it fits my horse and me.
I couldn't see paying more than I did for a name brand like Jackie and Tammy.
I had 2 BM back in the 90's loved them for trail and gymkhana shows, but couldn't ride in them for barrel racing.... BM might have change the height of the pommel, but I could not get up and over the front of my BM coming around and out of the barrels, held me down in the seat, sold them both.

None of those "off brands" listed above are anything I would even let my horse look at.  You pay for what you get.  I would suggest saving until you can afford a used quality saddle.  I know its tough, but you're just asking for pain and other issues using those other brands.  They're no good.

I have a tack room full of BM's.  I've seen the Hilason's and actually sat in one.  You couldn't give me one.  I literally wouldn't want it taking up space in my tack room.  I've never even heard of the others mentioned so I don't have an opinion regarding those.

It's cheaper to buy a more expensive saddle that works, than to buy a cheap one and pay for it dearly in chiro bills. Check the tack swaps on Facebook, I've seen some there for as low as $600

i agree with some of you - you get what you pay for,  but I don't agree with BM being the best -  some saddles fit and work well no matter what the cost or the maker.
I've spent probably $15-$20,000 over the years buying new well name saddles and probably half of them didn't fit the horse or me.  Or the saddle fit for a while then the physical body of the horse changed and started causing problems.  You just have to try it and learn the hard way like all of us.
So as they say 'what works for one might not work for another'
