I would like to see some scientific studies for all types of a vibrating plate. Wonder why we dont use that in humans. Like back on track and magnectic, also like to see studies on those as well. All i inow my horse with afusing hock went crazy in a stall when i used someone else magnetic hock boots.
My sister bought a VibraToon-magnetic vibrating plate made for people at a big high school rodeo finals (maybe Nationals) as well as one of her friends. She has problems with her feet and back (collapsed thoracic vertebrae). She has gotten a great deal of relief using hers. She lies on it as well as standing.

The Theraplate speeds up blood flow. Which speeds healing. It decreases inflammation and helps with pain. I also have a laser and think that it is the better of the two for hock pain.
Can you tell me what you are using or mean by a laser too? Im still leaning towards a theraplate, not too fond of the price not knowing if it definetly helps with soreness/joint issues

Location: Texas | We have a gelding who's left hock has been trying to fuse for the last three years. I have the Accuscope and Myoscope, and have used them on him regularly, and while they helped, it wasn't enough. Just ten days ago we took him to Dr Hague at Oakridge Equine Center in Oklahoma and they did the laser drilling of his lower joint. All I can say it has made an amazing change in him. Dr Hague told us that only about 1 in 500 horses will fuse on their own. My only regret is that we didn't do it sooner. I would like to also mention that the Acuscope and Myoscope are FDA approved, they are one of a very few who actually did the blind studies to prove what can be done. As someone else said it is very easy to say that a product will do this or that, but very few products have actually done the blind studies to prove these statements.

I use the respond laser. My horse is sore but she had a horrible shoeing and we had to change shoers. I am putting her on the plate then using the laser on her everyday.

| We own the large 3x7 Theraplate. There are lower priced smaller models available. One can even be custom made for your trailer. I do not think people like Mary Walker and Jane Melby would own and use them if they were not of great benefit. Like success in most things, the key is commitment, you have to use it more than once in a while. Warming up before riding is recommended but even more importantly is using it after exercise! It's basically a mechanical tens unit similar to an electrical tens unit. The muscles contract and expand, blood flow and circulation are increased. You cannot simulate this in a " trailer ride" as the horse is constantly bracing and not relaxed. It's an investment for sure but it will not only speed recovery from injuries, it will also help prevent injuries to ligaments and tendons, keeping them tight and toned without a lot of percussion on the joints. It isn't magic, it takes dedication and regular use. For optimal results, it must be combined with a high quality diet and of course cardio work to build and maintain wind. The icing on the cake is that it also has a colic setting, I have personally seen this save a vet call on one and aid in passing an impaction with another! There is also a bleeder setting that we use on our horses. As far as injections, once you start, it may be necessary to continue but with a Theraplate the need will be less frequent. I like a laser for spot on treatments but with the Theraplate, it's an overall body therapy so no area is compensating for another. They can also be used on other pets such as cats and dogs but also humans! I would highly recommend investing in a Theraplate if you will be disciplined enough to actually use it. If you can't tell already I'm a Rep. for the company but only becoming one after I purchased and used one and have seen the results. I have never charged to use my unit at an event, only hoping to educate the public and help the horse. | |
