| Looking for some testimony from anyone that's currently using or has used the theraplate on their barrel horses. I have a mare that needs to have hocks and stifles done for sure once a year, but after running all summer her hocks needed to be done about 5-6 months again. I'm really thinking of buying a theraplate, I have read some people no longer do injections since doing this therapy a few times or more a week on their running horses. Is this true? Anyone see a decrease in injections or maybe no longer doing joint medicines/supplements if using the theraplate? Are any of the pros seeing a difference since they haul so much? So many questions since it's a big investment! Thank you! |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | I have one and I think it is great, but it does not replace injections. It definitely helps with soreness and daily maintenance but it will not make the problem go away as to why they need injections. To me, it is just another handy tool in keeping my horses the most comfortable they can be. |

| I have one and use it every day. I think it will help extend the time between injections . I also have a laser. Both increases blood flow. |

| Hmm ok thanks for the replies, seems like a pricey piece of equipment to buy if I'm not sure if this will help...anyone else have testimony? |

Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates | Â I've got the portable theraplate I think once your house has adapted top it, its great until then its a tedious tool of trying to keep them on it. Putting up panels for our barn isn't really ideal as we have no real good place to put it so that's my own fault |

I don't have a theraplate.
However, I would guess that the increase in circulation which is supposed to occur may help with the inflammation. Personally, I don't see this product replacing IA injections.

| The Theraplate speeds up blood flow. Which speeds healing. It decreases inflammation and helps with pain. I also have a laser and think that it is the better of the two for hock pain. |

| I would like to see studies done on the vibrating equipment. I like scientific studies, just cause someone says something does not make a study. Ther are several different kinds, i know at the world they let a big name take one home and try it to se if helped.
that is still not a study. I have a gelding with fusing hocks my reg vet did injections in feb and june and in june she was short on steroids and hocks and stifles where sore instead of using steroids in hocks and just usimg ha in stifle she cheated me with steroids, still, charged me like she had everything. It did not help him carried to,anothe vet in aug they couldnot find him sore enough to,do,anything. Still charged me 500.0 and the race track vet thermoscaned him did xrays on left side of front feet as his angles where different on inside than outside and left rear hock should have taken just one on the right one. |
