I've been trying to find some fly spray that is safe to use on foals under 12 weeks of age. Any suggestions? Usually never have baby's so I'm at a loss for what to use.

My vet told me to use the all natural fly sprays. Just make sure you aren't using one with the chemicals in it, and you should be fine!

RE: Fly spray for foals
Where do you live that you have fly problems this time of year?? ... lol
Simple and cheap ...
Wipe some baby oil on your hands and then wipe hands on a wash rag or small hand towel ...... Now stroke babies hair with rag or hand towel ... all you want is the ends of the hair to barely glisten... not wet..... flies will not land on a slightly oiled coat ...
If you have diarrhea and dirty rear and tail ... gob some Vaseline or furazone on dirty rear and tail ... will keep rump from scalding and no flies ...
Now for barn flies ... get old feed sack lay on ground and sprinkle some Golden Malrin on it ....
(it is now green in color ... some fool thought kids would think it was cheese and would eat it... duhhh
) ... No more flies within 24 hours ...

Just moved to Texas hill country. I will try the baby oil. So far he hasn't gotten the scours. I'm sure he will at some point. Thanks for the tip.
