Has anyone ever had their horses jaw to pop when yawning? When I take the head stall off my horse, whether it be a hackamore or bit, he yawns 3 or 4 times and most of the time it pops. I suspect tmj but I can't find anyone that knows much about it here. One vet offered to inject it, but I want to find out what's wrong and fix it before injecting it. I live in se Texas if anyone knows of anyone in Texas to recommend

I would not inject. I would have his teeth checked. If he is not balanced correctly it will cause jaw problems.
