This is really neat. My six year old has been very shy about riding. I haven't pushed the issue because that never works.
(Ask my son who still rides horses dressed for skateboarding
) LOL
So three days ago she declares she's ready, right out of the blue. Well heck, don't have a horse suitable for her. The very next day her uncle shows up with this
(univited, just decided Dakota needs this
)
Great timing. Cool little horse just needs some tlc looks a little arthritic but moves nice. Easily 20's y/o former cutter.
Snickers. Now we have two horses named after candy. LOL

I sure hope so. I try really hard to encourage my kids responsibility as well as try and make it fun. I don't know how she is going to react to coming home from school today to go out and shovel!

I have a feelin' that if you go with her and stay positive, she'll catch on real quick. It took me until I was 8 to really "get the bug" but I have stayed hooked ever since :
)
As you said, she announced she was ready - so go easy and stay positive, those are the moments that keep us hooked for life. You got this and will soon be inundated with "lists" of must have horsey things ... I can feel it! LOL.
