If you have a baby going with you i would not sell it even the day races is to much for a baby. They need the ac and a place to nap, eat/change diapers. If I had a baby even toddler/ any age child I would want a LQ even if its not an over nighter. Keep it.. its almost paid off. Why not?

Sell it and down the road if you want another one you can get a updated one I did mine I used it about 5 times in three years got all my money out of it and bought me a little 16 ft 4 star stock combo Love It!!! Remember one thing about living Quarters trailers with barrel racer if its not the newest and all updated they don't want it. the older the living Quarters part gets the less money you get out of it. TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN

barrelracingchick16 - 2014-03-27 12:40 PM    If it is not a money issue, I would keep it!  I have heard MANY people say after selling their LQ that they wish they would have just kept it.

Well, who knows? I had a beautiful Platinum with ostrich couch, granite countertop, you name it...plus a $500/mo. paymnt. I sold it to get an older, less fancy Sundowner, but still a full LQ. My pride took a hit, but my payments are $200/mo. I can rodeo a lot more with the extra cash flow...bottom line for me? If you can afford it, keep it :) Good luck. Doesn't sound like you are in a bind, so just enjoy it :)

Sell it. Styles change and circumstances change, continue making a payment into a seperate account for buy one down the road. The money will be there when and if you need one again.

If I had to take a baby/kid with me, there's no way I would sell it. Where would you change diapers, go to the bathroom, etc?

When you say LQ I'm assuming you mean a full with power, running water, heat/ac etc so my opinion is based on that.

I personally wouldn't sell it. We bought a full LQ trailer when my son was just over one and it was PERFECT. On those hot summer days we've been able to get out of the sun and cool down, when it's chilly out we've headed in to keep warm and you can't beat a fridge packed full of baby/toddler snacks and an area where you can put them down to play safely.

My son is three and the amount of stories we've read and movies we've watched together in that trailer is countless. We've hauled to events where it's raining out and we've simply cleaned out the horse trailer (we have the pass through) and put fresh bedding down and he's gone to play in there with his tractors while we've been waiting for our events. We've also hauled to weekend events where the temperatures are crazy hot and it's not safe for kids to be out for long and I've been thankful for the AC, a table for playdoh, and Disney movies.

On top of that we have a mud playing, dirt digging, grass rolling boy so I've been very happy to be able to put him in the shower at the end of the day.

He looks forward to the rodeos and he loves having people at our trailer for a visit. We hauled it maybe 8 times last year but it's worth keeping it the rest of the year just for those 8 times.
