So we are looking at purchasing a LQ trailer and I thought I would have to buy a used one but the Bison's are soooo reasonable! We were set on a Bloomer or Platinum but now I just don't know. Does anyone have any experience with these trailers?

Compare a 5 yr old Bison resale value against a Bloomer resale value. You might change your mind after seeing how fast they loose value.
Get what you can afford.

We bought one news years ago and still have it. Only thing that had to be replaced was a part for the fridge that was recalled. Dealer replaced it. Tons of storage. We have mangers and still plenty of room for horses. We have made lots of long trips 1,000 plus miles and horses are always ready to go when we get there so would think their ride is comfortable. These trailers get a bad name by some as do all trailers. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I have a 2012 Bison I bought in Nov 2011 - only problem I had was the tires they put on (some off brand China tires) and I had 3 blow outs - after I replaced the tires with a quality brand I havent had anymore issues

Hauls good the living quarters are nice

They've got a bad name, I don't think they deserve it. I've never owned one, but I've been in several. The LQ looks pretty sweet for the $.

I know a lady that had to replace the flooring in hers a few times because the LQ was not higher that the horse part and the pee would run under the flooring in the LQ, Which also made it stink....

But the LQ was very pretty!!!!!

I've had mine for 3 years now. In the second year, the axle broke. Fortunately, someone noticed it, and I took it to a welder right away. The welder and I contacted Bison, and they were wonderful to work with, paid for everything, including 2 new tires. Otherwise, I've had no other troubles, that weren't my own fault (I didn't get it winterized in time, and now have to fix some broken water line).
I absolutely love my LQ!

I've also had the axle problem that LoudAppy had and it was on a Dixie Renegade model. Had someone weld it to get it back to the dealer, ended up trading up to a trail express for more room, mangers, and a slide out. No problems so far. Had it for going on two years.

RUN! I would not have one. Buy an older anything before you buy it! If you want to have resale value go with the Platinum. I don't like Bloomers other unless its an older one.

I bought an 05 brand new.  Never had any problems with it and I love it. Just the normal new tires etc and normal maintenance. I have a slide out and would never have a trailer without one.  I would buy another Bison in a heart beat.
