If she was selling drugs out of the house, they likely took it.  Doesn't matter who owned it. 
The house was split 50/50 between my dad and her She has been buying my dads half on land contract. This also poses a big problem as my parents maybe responsible for part of the cost of destruction and having other houses in the vicinity check ect.

Oh, that is really too bad.  Often if a house, car, jewelry etc., is purchased with funds from drug activity or used in any kind of drug dealings, it is taken by law enforcement. They usually sell the items and the proceeds go back into drug enforcement.  Both my brother and my brother in law have worked undercover and they drove around in vehicles that were taken from drug dealers.

Location: Southwest Minnesota		If you are allowed to get flowers and bird houses that would be nice...don't count on it.  Take pictures if you can and if you have old pictures try putting together a little scrapbook or photo album.  My childhood home was just tore down too, for different reasons than yours but it's still gone.  It's sad, pictures and written down stories of your memories will help.  Hugs to you...

Oh this is so sad all the way around. Since the house has to be torn down, would he be able to at least keep the land that its on?
