I guess in hindsight I'd rather have him loose a shoe in the pasture at home the night before vs finding it tomorrow morning or losing it mid run. Thankfully when we pulled the pads he had on to get through mud season he wasn't sore at all. Was due to trim soon anyway so we're sporting new shoes now - watch out ladies I asked for the super fast speshial shoes...jk, but no really...
