I've had 4 horses of different ages on this feed 12% protein/12% fat for a couple months. They are also on good free choice grass hay. None of these horses have developed any kind of topline, and they are ridden no less than twice a week, usually 5 days a week, sometimes working hard, sometimes just trotting/loping.

For y'all who feed it, what's the deal? Am I not feeding enough? Do they have to have alfalfa? I heard nothing but rave reviews about it, and I have to say, I'm not impressed with muscle tone, but I'm very impressed with mental attitude.

I have had my hard keeper mare on it for the last couple of months.  She gained some weight and top line, but is also acting like a fire breathing dragon right now.  I just started switching her back to TC Senior to hopefully get my sweet mare back.  I had some great success with THE Muscle Mass to help with her top line.

How crazy, mine have done the opposite lol. Cool as cucumbers, and don't look bad, but just not great.... and they are getting worked. Usually by this much work, I have my horses looking pretty good, and it seems like this year I just can't get it.

I love Omega Force.  I've never had one get hot on it and I ride mostly 2-5 yo. I feed the minimum recommended weight of 4lbs but I feed alfalfa too since that is the most economical hay in my area.  Maybe try upping the amount by a couple lbs for a few months and see.  It can take some time to see results.  I had a 3 yo come in at the end of August that was pretty thin, it wasn't until November that she started looking good.

I will say first and foremost I am a FAN of Bluebonnet, as is the two vets that I use the most. I feed both the omega force intensify and the senior therapy feed.

I don't feed a lot of the omega force BUT I also feed beet pulp with it.  I don't have weight, topline, energy, etc issues whatsoever with the two that are on it.

I switched my gelding to the senior as I didn't like him on it.  I literally saw a difference with the senior feed within about 8 days.  My vet thought he looked the best he had seen him in 2 years. I then switched one of my mares over as we thought she may have a mild issue with PSSM.  She had really tight muscles but that was her only issue.  I saw a complete difference in her within 2 weeks.  The senior feed is their lowest starch product and high fat.

I thought about putting everyone on the Senior but I like how the other two mares look on the Omega Force and so I am keeping it.

Oh, I don't know if this makes a difference either but all of my horses are on Forco.
