Looking for a bit for daughter's horse
Location: Texas
We are trying to find a bit for my daughters new horse.
She is currently being ridden in a Goosetree delight with dr bristol mouth piece. She has just a little too much bend
(verge of a noodle neck
) but could use some lift and needs a little more whoa. They are not running at all yet just getting use to each other.
As far as sticking with the Carol Goosetree line, how much whoa does the double gag long shank with mullen mouth piece or the Simplicity II with the mullen mouth piece have? Or even the pick up dr bristol looks like it might have more whoa to it than the 2 above.
How about the Connie Combs stabilizer bit?
Any other recommendations?

To help stiffen up a bit but still have bend, lift and whoa, I use the Sheri cervi short shank diamond lifter.
Goosetree bits I have used the simplicity, not much whoa, and is not a bit to fit my hands, I have never used a Connie Coombs so can't help you there either.

Generally, the more breaks in the mouth piece the more suppleness you get from the horse.
Try a two piece or mullen mouth with some shank to help the kiddo.

I love the Connie Combs Stabilizer. It works great on noodley horses.
