Cooking Gurus...How Shall I Cook My Prime Rib?

I got a wild hair and decided to cook prime rib for my husband and I for Easter dinner!
NOW-what is the best way to cook it? Some recipes say to sear it and then cook in the oven for so many minutes....
Others say the opposite, some say to cook just in the pan the entire time.
What do you all recommend?! At $16.99/lb. I don't want to mess this up!
Currently have the fresh horseradish cream sauce in the fridge... :-
)
I have two steaks that total 1.87 lbs.

Sear both sides and limit your cooking time ... so it will not turn into mush ... keep it pink to red on the inside ...
