My gelding trots the barrles but I can not get him to canter I've tried a whip and everthing but he will run home

Location: Texas		Hmm do you have a video? Also do you have a trainer? It sounds to me like you are not very experienced or atleast in barrel racing.. I would find a good person to take lessons from, there could be a whole world of reasons why your horse won't go.
