My mother has been going to the same ophthalmogolist for years. Recently my husband and I have been going to him also. He has told my mother for years that she has glacoma and she is terrified of losing her vision. If she has glacoma, should she not have prescription drops to put into her eyes. She actually sees better than I do. Now he is telling my husband and I that we have the beginning signs of glacoma and that my husband needs some kind of laser surgery on his tear ducts. I asked if the surgery would improve his vision. The answer was 'no, but he could have severe pain resulting in a trip to the ER'. When I thought maybe we should wait, the comment was 'oh, your insurance will pay for it'. He has changed his whole office staff in the last 9 months and I don't know if I trust him anymore. My mother loves him. (sigh)
