| I found this baby in the road with no other geese around. He looked like he had been mauled a bit and was dirty and covered in cottonwood stickys. He ran to me when I got out of my truck , I was just going to herd him across the road but when I noticed how he looked and no others in the area I brought him home. I won't keep him he will go to a place that can raise him but boy is he cute and sweet. He snuggled right up and fell asleep, I have never brought anything like this home but couldn't see him get hit on the road .

| No sign of other geese and called around and talked to people who have experience with them. I was told he was probably the smallest one and got left behind when he couldn't keep up. He was so tired and exhausted last night that he could barely move but today he is all over the place . They are very loving and follows you everywhere. I need to get him to his new home soon because he is easy to want to keep. |

Location: on a hill | I did the same thing last year. My brother found him and brought him home. We figured he was left behind too. Mine turned out to be Canadian. They are illegal to keep. Just watch who you tell. Lol I got him a duckling the same age to keep it company. Mine was very friendly like a dog. He rode on the golf cart with me, followed me when i rode, came when called, swam in the dogs pool. It was a very interesting experience. They are very messy to have around also. Unfortunately a fox got him & the duck in august. I miss them more than I thought I would. |

| It is a Canadian. They are funny so sweet and loving I spent the day playing with him and cuddling on the couch since it was raining. I tried to put him in his box to go do some stuff but he threw a fit so he got to hang out in the house. I found a place for him to go where , he was very young and I wanted to be sure he grew up healthy. I knew you aren't suppose to keep them but know several people who have . |

Location: Southeastern Idaho | I rescued one on the middle fork of the Salmon River years ago. I figured it must have been washed downstream and separated from its family too. I drove up river until I found a group of adults with goslings. I asked the land owner if I could put my little guy/girl out with them and the owner was only too glad to help. I dumped the kid out where he could see the others and it took off like a shot. We watched for awhile and it seemed like they just included him. The owner said he would watch, but I think all ended well there. Good for you! I can't deny the little babies especially when they come running at you. So cute. |
