 She wasn't registered due to the mare owners getting a divorce, some sort of conflict, etc. The people that own judge now said the people who owned him before her(scott and angela) don't have the breeding records anymore...AQHA said we would do the DNA after I got all the signatures I needed.

Curious as to what the price difference is between a grade horse and registered horse of that caliber? Because if it's a pretty big money saver, then yes, I'll be next in line!

who the heck cares if they have papers a good horse is a good horse!  I have owned some very nice grade horses.

On a mare (to me) it is more important to have papers for breeding purposes, than on a gelding. So if I had a chance to get papers on a mare I had purchased as grade I would definitely do it!
