| 1)What's the best/cheapest for small pastures/traps
2)What's the best to kill brush & everything on a fence line
3)Do you use the same thing in #1, as you do for a large yard?

Those two do not go hand in hand. #2 if you are looking to kill everything along a fence line with nothing left to live you want a Roundup based product that kills both grass and broadleaves but DO NOT SPRAY ROUNDUP ON YOUR PASTURE OR YARD...you will kill everything. #3 depends on what product you use....
Main question is where are you located (state ect) and what kind if any neighbors? |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Roundup works great on fence lines. I like to use something on the pastures that doesn't have a grazing restriction. Ask your local county agent for a recommendation, as it will partly depend on what kind of weeds you're trying to kill. |

| Ok, I guess I would rather have the best than the cheapest. :) What do you use for small paddocks? I want to get rid of weeds, but make sure it doesn't affect anything else long term like trees, etc. Thanks! |

Location: Michigan | For your pasture 24D works well. You can buy it under a number of different brands, we use pasture pro and you can put horse back on it the next day.
But I am in Michigan so depending on your area you might want to ask around about what works.

1 cup dawn dishwashing liquid, 1 cup salt, 1 gal vinager. Works really well. |

2 4-D works for me. You can only buy a quart unless you have a restricted pesticide license where I live. |

You don't want to salt ground where you need something else to grow. |

| I think this is what you are looking for ....
other names are similar or are worded like this .. 2 4 D Amine 1 (2) or (4)
List of products ... the following 2 products are what I use with great results ... it takes a light mist and about 10 days for the final kill ... younger the weeds the better ..

NOW PAY ATTENTION ... half a gallon will make a nice strong weed killer mixed with a 100 gallons of water .... all it takes for a 3 gallon handsprayer is 4 TABLESPOONS OF PRODUCT!! Set sprayer where you can see wet sports on weed leaves for your speed of travel ... no need of wetting until dripping on leaves ... you can do a lot with a handsprayer ... especially if you have a slow driver and someone to spray ... take extra buckets of water with you and mix as you go ... spray anything you don't like ... lol ..

USING TABLES ... AND FOR ONCE DO WHAT THE INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU ... ... GO TAKE A SHOWER AND WASH ALL YOUR CLOTHES AFTER YOU ARE THRU SPRAYING ....
Farm stores or coops usually carry the 2 1/2 gallon jugs which costs around $45 each ... so when you get the chance.... buy it!! Some will only sell cases of 4 ... so find a friendly farmer and buy a jug from him... lol

After the hurrican Ike tidal surge, the people in the know, predicted pastures would be years from makeing a come back. This happened in the fall, of that year. Next spring, couldn't tell much of anything happened. Spring pastures were back.
Ive tried salt, in areas I didn't want to grow, worked for about a month. Grass is back along with the weeds...... |

| I would use remedy, or any generic with tryclopyr. It will kill weeds considerably better than 2 four d. It can also be mixed 1 oz to the gallon to spot spray any bush. The price will shock you a little, but the cost per acre is equal to 2 four d. You will use a lot less ounces per acre. No residual like you get with grazon. |
