CC has been running around like a bat out of he** in her pasture. The other day I saddled her up and walked a few large circles in her pasture, yelled for Dave to come watch. I couldn't feel any short stride or ouchiness, wanted him to keep an eye out also. He sat down on the hillside right next to the path I walk 2x a day to check water in the stock tank...and sitting there is a penny. One of my mom's favorite little sayings was "See a penny pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck". Cried like a baby, momma was watching as well.
Gee thanks, I needed tears in my eyes to try to watch the rodeo tonight!!! Seriously, that's a wonderful update. Momma and CC may be conspiring together. . . Hugs to you |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I can't believe this little toot is the same one that was such a...well, toot, LOL!!! A few years ago if you missed a few days of riding, she'd buck you off on your head or make a very good attempt at it anyway. Saturday I hopped on, she walked off all bridled up (her natural way of moving...), she did stop and give dad's dog the hairy eye ball and offered to give him a "high five" with both back feet, also her natural way of moving, LOL!!! I was all ready a little teary eyed anyway, so when Dave found that penny it was water works. Gave the penny a kiss, held it to the sky and said a thank you. Its now in one of my little jewelery bags with the penny I found the day Tucker won the 2D as I was headed to sign up here about a month ago. Pennies from Heaven.
CC's weight has continued to maintain well, her hair coat looks amazing even with the winter fluff starting to build a little, urine so far is remaining clean, she is catching both leads out in the pasture and her "float" at the trot is back. Seems like around October she took a big step as far as movement. And with that my heart is a little less achy. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Crud... She is 14 this year!!! But that's like 2 in dog years right???? I got her as an unstarted 3 year old... Or we were told unstarted. Come to find out they had tried to start her and gave up, lol!!! Trust me, I threw my lollipop in the dirt a few times myself but there was something about her I knew I needed. She has made me a better human as well as horseman.

Location: 31 lengths farms | Just a quick update...her feet look amazing. Have kept her barefoot the last year and a half, had to put the figure 8 knots in her tail as about 3 inches of it are dragging the ground and have been hopping on and giving her a quick little ride every now and then. About a month ago I was feeling brave and tried to pony my gelding off of her, turned into the Belmont making laps around the pasture. The darn Secretariat in them reared its head and we had a match race, neither of them would give. I finally had to call the "race" due to me not being up to the challenge, LOL!!! I will try to get an update photo of her this evening. Equine Natural Care Kidney herbs, Zessterra keeping her going strong so far  She goes back in in the next month or so for a scope of the bladder just to keep us updated. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Some more pics of CC, she is fat and sassy. Made it thru Summer with no issues. Getting ridden lightly here and there. November 19th will be the 4 year anniversary of her bladder stone removal surgery, can't believe it!!!
