Location: 31 lengths farms | LOL!!! She really is! So funny, every winter I used to stress about getting a few pounds put on her headed into winter to give her a bit more amps for heating since mine are turned out 24/7. She was always a hard one to get any extra weight on, apparently she likes semi retirement <3

Location: 31 lengths farms | My activity tracker on my Apple Watch decided I was exercising this afternoon...nope just trying to stay on CC. Our first real ride in 2.5 years, I forgot how to post her trot and she was not amused. So she decided she would just lope, or her version of loping ?????? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I’m religious about her kidney herbs, ACV, and added NRF2 about 6 months ago which seemed to really bring down the swelling that remained in the fetlock. She also gets a half dose of Cur-ost Pure if and when she is off or sore. We came thru a very wet winter and the deep sucking mud made that stifle she injured in 2011 a little sore a few times. Nothing bad but I can tell when the float isn’t in her movement that she is off. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Just a quick update, hauled CC over to a local arena for the first time since she injured herself in Nov. of 2016, slow loped a couple patterns and just generally rode with a young lady I've been helping out with her new horse....lets just say we may have to revist the concept of RATE, LOL!!! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Knocking the dust off everyone for the start of spring, went for a quick ride on CC down the creek on Saturday. Is it ridiculous that I cried? How lucky am I that 9 years almost to the day after she fractured her patella that I am riding my little red headed step child still, we are 6 years out from the kidney/bladder stone diagnosis, 8 years out from a mountain lion attack and 4.25 years out from a torn hind suspensory. This is why I bought the necklace that says Unstoppable, she is the little engine that could. I say that even if I never got to ride her again that I'm totally okay with that but I have to fess up that that is a lie, there is something about this little mare that frees me to dream. My gelding has always been my steady Eddie, he is uncomplilcated, how you ride him is how he runs and I wouldn't trade him for 2 bad azz 1D horses . But this little mare is electric, there is something in her that , well like I said, frees me to dream. She is complicated, and a bit of a pet rattlesnake, has not an ounce of quit in her, the proverbial teenage daughter that won't be managed. She is 16 this year and still need to pray she doesn't scoot out from under me on a trail ride (maybe that was why I was in tears Saturday, just thirilled to be alive after our ride, LMAO) . While I rode my big mare CC was tearing back and forth across her pasture, rearing, bucking, kicking at the fence at no one, and then trotting down to her gate and banging on it. When I went to get her she drug me up to the trailer and stood quietly while I saddled her. She has always been this way, she is just sure that every turn is her's. At Pendleton the out rider kept asking me if I would need help getting her up to the start line, LOL!!! No, she just thinks that she shouldnt' have to wait is all. She definitly lives like someone left the gate open which gives me gray hair but thank goodness that we beaten the odds so many times . CAn't imagine what her Guardian Angel looks like, my guess is she has to have a team of them. Edited to add an updated picture of her. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2695716810523496&set=a.311008985660969&type=3&theater
