So I have a mare that will be literally just standing, ususally with a rider, but also does it while being led, haven't hung out in the pasture to see  if she does it there, and she will just suddenly jump sideways, or rush forward a step or two, like - and this is the best way I can describe it - like a bee just stung her in the pasterns or something??

She had my daughter sitting on her one day in the arena, doing great with her, barebak with a halter on and we were just standing there and again the best way I can describe it is the sting thing. She did this strange rush forward/sideways thing and then was fine, but my daughter, sitting there had already been dumped to the side??

Anyone ever had this happen to them and if so - ideas??
