My brother is on the road a lot and for the past 4 years he's experienced stomach pain at times after eating and also wakes up in the morning with pain in his side's like right above his pelvis. He says the stomach pain is like after you eat a green apple and he just feels crappy with no energy and sick. He has been to his family doctor but has never taken the next step to go to a specialist. Tonight he had eye pain in both eyes and also had a stomachache after eating and feels like crap with no energy. I told him to go see a doctor. He's only 32 but it's hard for him to go see one as he gets busy, is single, and noone to really push him to get to the doctor.
Anyone here have any symptoms like this or know kind of what I am talking about? Also he is not overweight or anything either but does not get a lot of exercise because he's on the road. He says he has the most problems when he's home and active he usually feels like crap. Could his gallbladder be doing this or maybe something else?

Could he maybe have a sensitivity to gluten or lactose? Those can cause a lot of those symptoms.

Has he tried keeping a log of his meals and symptoms? Tried eliminating anything?

It could be anything frankly from an actual issue that requires treatment to just needing to clean up his eating if he's eating a lot of junk being on the road all the time.

We eat pretty clean on a day to day basis so if we binge on greasy pizza or hit the road and eat fast food for a couple meals we generally feel like junk.

First step I think is writing down why he eats and how he feels after to try and link food to symptoms. It's probably the first thing a specialist is going to request anyway.

Thanks! He thought it might be glucose intolerance too. It would be good for him to keep a log of the food he eats and what bothers him for sure!! Hopefully he will listen to me!
