Please educate me on Larry Coats saddles. Lazy L's, originals etc... What are common prices? Likes and dislikes? Any info appreciated!

I have four Larry Coats barrel saddles, 3 are regular trees and 1 is a flex tree. They are phenominal built and fit everything that I put them on. The prices on mine range from $4,700 (flex tree fully tooled) to $2,950 (regular tree partial tooled). I absolutley love everyone of them and highly recomend them. My husband also has 3 rope saddles made by Larry. I do suggest the Larry Coats over the Lazy L, to me the Lazy L's do not ride or fit near as good. Larry or Miles will help you with what ever you need or any questions that you have if you just call the saddle shop. :

I have a lazy L and have a coats on order.

the lazy L trophy saddle is the best quality trophy saddle we own. it fits everything I put it in. my one criticism is it doesn't really hold me in that well when I make a RUN. So I use it for every day riding, riding colts, doing barrel work.. everything but the run.

I ordered a larry coats 3/4 tooled saddle with a standard tree, standard suede seat and standard conchos and stirrups. It cost me $3750.

I ordered a Coats several years ago, loved the way the saddle fit my horse, like a glove! Hated the way it fit me, thru me forward and 3 mos into owning it, the rigging came loose, was hanging by a thread. I could have been killed if that broke during a run. Coats wanted ME to pay for shipping back to get repaired? I ended getting it repaired and sold it. Never again. I ride Caldwells.

I ordered a coats custom saddle. It is all roughing except tooling on pommel and cantle. It so has custom conchos with my initials and name on cantle and back girth. It cost 3500. I haven't gotten yet and can't wait. It should be ready within the next month. I have never ran in one so I am praying I like it but it was custom built for my horse so I will need to run in it regardless. They have been very good to work with.

I own two with dropped riggings. They don't move and you can run with a loose cinch. I stay centered and my legs are where they need to be. Quality is great and customer service is beyond great. Larry and Robin will help you on anything.

my Lazy L throws me forward. I think it's more the set of the stirrups than the seat. I'm not sure.
