Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | I have a line of hot wire that I string through step in posts and a portable charger. Saves me tons of money through the summer and I can make it the size I need. I pack my own water so it's actually less physical taking care of my horses since they are right there at the trailer. They are less stressed and happier horses, plus packing up is a breeze, takes up no room at all in the trailer. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Solar charger, a roll of white tape, push in posts and your good to go. There's a lot of places around here that wont allow portable pens. They want every penny for over priced stalls & shavings. I always carry my fence just in case. |

Location: North MS | Every single large event I know of in Mississippi- No tie outs. Overnight horses required to be stalled. It would have been handy though. But I like the idea of tape and a charger. |

They do have battery powered chargers too. We use them all the time while trail riding. They use D size |

Location: Oklahoma | As an endurance rider, I can tell you that although tape and a charger are low cost and easy to use, they are the last choice for most. The main concern I see with them is a horse wearing a sheet or blanket will not get shocked, and they are not as stable a barrier in case somone else's horse gets loose. I would look into a hi-tie system that allows them to lay down but not get tangled, or a corral made of panels. The Trevel N Corral is pretty popular. Becareful of the PVC ones, since they are not as stable. |

Location: Texas | I just got home from picking up 12 6 foot travel panels. I am excited to use them. For the 12 panels it was $400 with tax. |

Yes I know that but batteries go dead. The sun doesn't. |

| I invested in portable corral panels last year. 5' high and 6' long. Nicer than the others because a horse can't get under them and they are taller. Purchased after something spooked my horses and they ran through my electric pen. Chased them all over fairgrounds and they were close to getting out on the road. Just lucky it happened in the morning when people were up. |
