Member Posts: 24 Location: Ohio	I am looking to get a pre purchase exam on a horse outside of Des Moines, Iowa. Specifically in macksburg, Iowa. Anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!

Expert Posts: 1314 Location: North Central Iowa Land of white frozen grass	You could try Iowa State College. They have quite a vet program their and they do a lot of vet work. It's only like 35 miles north of DesMoines on I35.

ISU might be able to give you a good lead but being 100+ miles away I doubt they will have a vet there willing to do it. Our vet is Dr Brad at the Equine Referral Clinic in Runnels, he's very good but again he's an hour + away. The office folks there may be able to give you a lead on a vet in that area. Look up Iowa Barrel Burners or Iowa NBHA District 04 or jus Iowa NBHA on Facebook and you might get some good names there
