I have three others from my oldest daughter that I adopted, but these are my youngest daughters. She was told she couldnt have children a couple years ago.
There is a story behind all this that makes them very special to us.
My father was on his death bed in September of 2012. My daughter was sitting with him, he was suffering from alzheimers and incoherant. She had just been given the news that she would not be able to have children, which was a life long dream of hers to have a big family. She laid her head on my Dad's hand and asked him when he got to heaven would he talk to God so that she might have a baby. I laughed and told her that knowing him, he would make sure she got two.
He passed away that Sunday.
the following Sunday, she and her husband were in church and they played a song that had been played at his funeral. She was upset and crying when her phone rang.
The nursery teacher was sick and asked her to fill in. She did.
When she walked into the nursery a beautiful little boy went straight to her lap and would not leave her. He was 18 months old. She was instantly in love with him. When his mom came for him, he refused to leave her. So they began talking. The mom explained that he was her foster child and that he was about to be placed up for adoption. My daughter and her husband were stunned and knew that this was supposed to be. At that time, the foster mom pulled a beautiful little girl out from behind her and introduced her as his sister. She explained that they would be adopted together. She also told them that she had felt led to that church that day. They had never been there. She also wanted the children to be placed close to her, come to find out, they lived five miles apart.
They prayed about it and started proceedings into foster parenting. Within 5 months the babies were in their home and havent looked back. Every concern and prayer has been answered with these babies and even the judge said that most CPS kids dont get to have the happy ending.
We are beyond blessed and when they were allowed to change the middle names, Jess's middle name was after my father.
Thank you all for letting me share.
Oh my gosh this is so heart warming to read this, brings tears of happy for these two little ones and your daughter and her hubby, what a blessing for your family that prayers were answered |

Thank you so much!! Yes she is a HAPPY HAPPY girl!! She was put through so much it amazes me everyday how they could turn out to be such wonderful happy, loving, intelligent kids. The only thing I can reason is that God answered many, many prayers.
To anyone that is thinking of fostering, it is a a heartwrenching experiance at times when you see first hand what people can do to precious children. But the blessings you recieve in watching these kids blossom under love and nurturing is sooo very worth it. |
