I bought a used trailer and it has carpet in the tack room. I removed the carpet from the floor because it was funky. Carpet came up easy but now there's glue and some carpet backing stuck to the aluminum floor. Is there a solvent I can use to remove the glue?? Anyone have any experience with this?

Goo-be-gone works but slow and at lot of scrubbing.

When we took up the carpet from a concrete floor we used what looked like a garden hoe that had been straightened out and had a sharp edge on it.

Do you think that would be ok to use on aluminium?

I don't know for certain, but would think so. i would think the glue would come off before damage to the aluminum occurs if common sense is used.
