Dr. Ford is good but typically the way his appts are scheduled (as he is a traveling vet) leaves little time for details and questions... depending on what you want done I would probably find out whats going on elsewhere, then if you wanted to use ford use him for maintainance. Dont know how close you are to MS state but I use Dr. Mochal there and she realllllhy takes her time with her lameness exams, etc, and performs orthopedic surgery. I really like her. Dr Hicks in KY is supposed to be great too

Dr. Liberty Getman @ TN Equine Hospital, White Station, TN, just south of Nashville. She & Dr. Mat Povolich (sp?) are both very good & have an awesome facility with all the latest tech stuff.

Dr. Jim Baum He is in Shelbyville too. I used to use Bennet but he was always difficult for me to get a hold of in an emergency and also wanted to inject everything before really looking into the problem. Dr. Baum wants to figure out why the horse is off before deciding on a solution.
