| Went trail riding this past weekend!! The weather was wonderfu, the horses all behaved, only one rider hit the turf, with no injuries.. Was the trail "boss" whose horse got startled and she lost her stirrup. We are all claiming that it was sasquatch that spooked him. Now my vent..... A couple came and camped somewhat near my friends sight, with 2 kids and 3 little yappy dogs. The kids were fine... But those darn yappers started yipping at 7 am and didn't shut up until after 9 pm....... Thankfully Becky and I were parked quite a little ways away. Not sure what the proper way to handle this situation in the future. I beleive they put them in little kennels when they went riding. Not sure if we should of called the game ranger or not for neglect or abuse, as it did get to almost 90 degrees yesterday. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Not sure you can really do anything about people that are inconsiderate of others around them. I have a liitle dog that camps with me. If I leave her outside the trailer and walk away even just out of sight she will yap. So...I use a training collar. I have remote and when I walk away if she barks she gets the tone. She doesn't like that. And it works. Now just putting the collar on makes her not bark. I would have had to just leave her home if she barked incessantly like that. It's not fair to others around you to have a misbehaving child or dog and do nothing to try to correct the behavior.
But...unless there's a noise rule in camp...I doubt the ranger could do much. But...he might at least talk to them to see if they can get the dogs quiet. |

Location: MN | Some people don't realize that their dogs bark at theire trailer when they are gone riding. I feel your pain we had that happen to us one time. The people left at 5:30 in the morning and their started barking and howling. Their camper was 25 ft from ours. I could've killed the people. Thank god they pulled out later that day. The campground did have barking policy but the owners didn't anything about. |

| I would have just walked over and asked them if their dogs were OK because they seemed very upset about something with all that barking going on. Hopefully that would have given them a hint. Not much other you can do ... its happened at overnight races someone leaves the dog out all night and it constantly barks.. its annoying as all get out. Then there's people that have no consideration for others around... if my dogs are barking and I know about it.. I do something about it! |

It seems to me that every hunter should have a dog with which he goes hunting. It's always more enjoyable and more fun. I also have a dog, with whom we go to the woods together. I usually order everything I need for hunting at https://www.atneu.com/, and then we collect the necessary things and leave.
Dam at it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always got to Bump up a really old thread. This thread is going on 8 years old.. |
