| How many of you work full time and have a second part time job? What do you do for your part time position? How do you balance everything with work and house cleaning and taking care of animals?
I am considering working part time for the winter season at a local mall but was just wondering about everyone else's experiences with working more than one job.

Location: Deep South | My fiancé and I are both doing a lot more right now, we wanted to be able to go on the honeymoon of our dreams, and we're in the middle of buying a house so we didn't want to touch what we already had in savings. We know there will eventually be other vacations, but you only get one true honeymoon and we didn't want to have to skimp on it or be stressed about money while we're supposed to be enjoying it and relaxing.
So we both have our regular full times and he picked up a part-time working a few hours in the evenings and Saturdays doing some construction work, and I took in a few outside horses to ride. So basically we're both busy until dark every week day and busy until about mid-afternoon on Saturdays. Then we have the rest of the day Saturday and all day Sunday to spend some quality time with each other or get caught up on things or do whatever needs to be done. |

Location: California | I am kind of thinking about doing the same thing. I am moving back out to Texas and have a few vet assistant jobs I am hoping to hear back from but I have a very detailed list of all my expenses and if I want any extra money I will need a second job. My goal is to take in an outside horse or two but not sure how pheasable that is as I will be new to the area. I am thinking about picking up a bartending job as I can work nights and get tips. Would love to hear of any other ideas as well! |

| I work full time and then have a part time job doing the bookkeeping for a small business. It's flexible hours, so I just work maybe an hour or so each day after I get home. My husband works a lot of hours and doesn't usually get home till 6:30-7 each night, whereas I am home at 5, so I just get it done before he gets home. It may be a little more difficult in the future as they keep expanding and my hours will inevitably go up as well.
My husband also mows a fairly large property down the road from us each week. He makes an extra $90 each week that he saves for his spending money. He's considered trying to find another yard or two to mow since it's good money and doesn't really take that long to do.
We've got some big goals that we are working towards, so it's nice to have extra money to use for things that doesn't have to come out of our "real income." |

Location: South Georgia | I am a school teacher, but I also have a pet sitting company. Thankfully, through referrals and a facebook business page, my pet sittings generate anywhere from a couple hundred (a slow month) to a couple thousand (busy holiday travel times) extra in income each month. |

Location: Oxford, Kansas | My husband and I are both working a 40+ hour full time job, me as a bank manager, husband as a sheriff's officer, then we are also both working part time (20) hr a week jobs, I work 2 full shifts +OT on the weekends on our turnpike as a collector and my husband works his 2-3 days off a week at the local grain elevator. It is bringing in almost an additional $700 every 2 weeks for us. We just made the decision that at this point in our lives we are ready to get our debt paid off and start getting ahead. I'm not going to lie, we really don't see each other but maybe 1 night a week and my house isn't in pristine condition and I don't have anything finished right now to run but I am managing to still keep my youngster ridden at least 3-4 days a week. Really it boils down to figuring out what is most important to you in this point of your life. |

Location: Phoenix | I work overtime at my current job. I was going to find another part time job to work in the evenings, but the only thing I could think of with that flexibility would be fast food or a restaurant....minimum wage. I'd probably only be able to work 20-25 hours anyways. I'd make the same in fast food as I would working 9 hours of overtime at time-and-a-half. So that's what I do. I save gas and stress trying to get to another job. Makes for a long day and we eat dinner late, but it's an extra $250 a paycheck. |

What's wrong with a restaurant? Depending on where you live, if you worked a few hours each night at a restaurant waitressing/bartending you'd make that $250 in tips in less than three days. :) But I do see what you mean by saving gas and stress! |

| I work full time as a food service director for a local school but I am also a consultant for 31 gifts. I love being a consultant as I get to work from home, set my own hours, and I get in what I put out of it. I am close to becoming a director (woot woot) and I LOVE every minute of working for this company, they are awesome!!!! If you think this is something you might be interested in, PM me and I can give you some more info. I make between $300-$1000 extra a month depending on parties and sales etc. |

Location: MI | For many years I worked at an emergency vet clinic. In college as an assistant, after graduation as a receptionist as a supplement to my full-time job. I enjoyed the emergency vet clinic because you get random stuff walking through the door, but also because they are open odd hours. And sometimes you can get reduced/at cost vet care - a definite plus! |

I have a 2 year old boy so I don't have a lot of time in the evening so needed something I can do when it is convenient. So.... I have just signed up to sell Advocare. Not sure how it will turn out but I am liking trying the products! |

| I work full time at a vet that gets incredibly slow fall/summer and NUTS winter/spring because we are 99% repro. I thought about getting a summer job like the school kids but I also ride 1-2 outside horses a month so I stay busy as is. I don't really consider my outside horses a second job because I don't rid every many and I am relatively cheap since I just usually put miles and handles on babies. I'm no Clinton Anderson lol. |
